Rachel Nicholas is a musician based in
North West England.
Rachel Nicholas is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer-songwriter from Merseyside, creating a varied output of work which straddles the different worlds of contemporary classical music, art pop/rock and diy sound art. Rachel creates music with an introspective and playful sensibility.
A composition graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire, particular highlights have included releasing original songs, collaborating with ensembles such as Immix, curating concerts, and performing collaborative site-specific sound art with Brighter Sound.
Rachel also regularly plays viola, vocals, keys, and hammered dulcimer for other artists, (including regular recording with Keith Wilson) and works as a music therapist for Nordoff Robbins.
